can you be christian and gay?

Hi.

It's 10:45pm, and I'm being extra professional and typing this out tonight so I can send it first thing in the morning.

Two nights ago, I had a crazy idea for my next podcast episode. What if interviewed my ex-girlfriend — my first ever girlfriend — about our experience of falling in love while being extremely involved in our Christian church? I thought it would help a lot of people who reach out and ask me to talk about religion and sexuality.

So. I texted my ex to pitch the idea.
She said yes immediately.
We recorded for nearly two hours today.
I edited immediately, then uploaded tonight.

Yes, all the episodes mean a lot to me, but this one really does. If I would've had something like this when I was in college, deep in the trenches of religion and sexuality and learning to accept myself — I would've really, really loved it. I needed it, and I'm proud to have made it.
