I really, deeply hate emailing on a weekend. It feels so intrusive, like I'm a boss sending an email at 5pm when you're trying to get on with your life and they're like, "HAHA. NOPE. WORK MORE."
Here are some weekend recommendations for things to watch/read/listen to:
1. An album: my sweet bff Stephen Wrabel released a live album today, and it's super special. People that have known Stephen for a while know that he completely shines in a live setting, when it's just him and piano. I think my favorite is "that's what i'd do" but do tell me yours. Listen here on Spotify (or search on apple music/elsewhere).
2. Some songs: another friend Cari released this bop called Undrunk (listen on spotify here). It's explicit and sad and awesome and deep and dark and sexy. It's perfect. Also, this Troye Sivan/Lauv jam is v special.
3. A show: if I had to design my perfect tv show, it'd be Broad City. I don't think any show in the world makes me laugh as hard. It's relatable and insane and so deeply hilarious — every episode makes me actually laugh out loud. You can watch the first episode of their final season here, and all other seasons/episodes on Hulu. If you think it's too weird for you, watch 2 more episodes before you give up. You won't. :)
4. A list of things to read: James Clear, one of my favorite writers, released an incredible summary of his favorite 100+ books. He gives a 3-sentence summary of each book in this list, which I've found really useful in deciding what I want to read next.
What are you liking lately? Reply with any recs :) Happy Friday.
Talk tomorrow,
Your friend,
Taryn
