well well well. welcome to the first edition of little thoughts, which you’re getting because you’re a literal patron saint who decided to be a paid member 🥺
thank you.
let’s get on with it! every edition of little thoughts will feature 3 musings — either from me or others — will be all lowercase (because little), and is meant to get you having your own little thoughts. they may seem incomplete (and they might be), but i want it to feel casual, open, and prompt-y. if they get you thinking — or give you a break from doing so, if that’s what you need — then i’ve done my job. here we go!
one. every single cell
i’ve been trying to get back into walking. it’s one of those things that i know is good for me. the context doesn’t matter much — it could be for exercise or just to wander around while on a call. it could be long or short. it could include sweating or jogging or walking backwards pretending to be a campus tour guide.
it doesn’t matter. what does matter, though, is that i remember the feeling of getting back from a walk. in those moments, i know my body loves me. my muscles are thankful for the movement. my bones are happy to be swayed. down to my little baby cells — every little one.
they’re chanting like i finished a marathon in their name. i can hear every little one say, “thanks. let’s do it again tomorrow.”
what makes your cells rejoice?
