Been struggling so much with this same issue the whole year so far, all 6 days that is.
I've written so much planning down only to not follow through with it because my favourite part is just writing it down and making it look pretty. And then staring at what I haven't yet accomplished just makes me feel worse. xxx
it's a bit harder to get up when the weather is colder and the sun is up later and it's comfier under the blanket. and there's always time for that, too. but i'm glad today you did because now we have this post!!
I love the idea of writing for your future kid(s) to read. Writing is kind of a legacy in that it perseveres unchanged through time and I think that leaving such a lovingly curated legacy for your kid(s) to read is a beautiful thing.
Also, I am not your kid, but I def needed the reminder that I, too, can just get up. I’ve also not been doing the things that make me feel my best for the past few weeks (holidays, illness, stress, literally any and every justification) and reading this was a nice nudge in the right direction.
i felt super connected and identified with these words, it felt even better to know you were writing this for your future kids. thanks for sharing , you both will be great moms! ❤️
